The Garden Of Remembrance commemorates those who died fighting for Ireland's freedom while Phoenix Park is Europe's largest public park. It extends about three miles along the Liffey's north bank, encompassing 1,752 acres of verdant green lawns, woods, lakes, and playing fields. It also hosts Dublin Zoo, the third-oldest public zoo in the world, founded in 1830, which is just a short walk beyond the famous People's Garden.
